I found this photo on Boing Boing today, and I thought it was pretty cool.  Note the little trees at the bottom - according to the site that originally hosted it, the trees were vaporized within microseconds.  The photo was from 7 miles away with a 10 foot lens, giving a shuttle speed equal to 1/100,000,000 of a second.
