1954's home computer of 2004

Read this on Engadget this morning and had to share.

We really wish that our PC’s did resemble this wall of hardware, replete with chromed Chevy steering wheel. This is what scientists in 1954 at RAND envisioned the home computer of 2004 would look like. We’re thinking the scientists also had no idea how it would actually work or what it would do, and panned off minor problems like purpose and function on future inventions. But hey, as long as they could spin the fun wheel, turn little knobs and click official-looking buttons, that sounds a lot more fun then spending all day writing on ours.
