So I'm Weak... I Broke Down...
This weekend I broke down and bought a Apple product...

The new iPod.

I bought the 15GB version as it was all that was in stock above 10GB and I had my 10% off Best Buy coupon good this weekend. Now I can have my entire music collection with me at all times...now if only there was a good way to mount it in my car when I want it there...

Who Can Resist a Picture of a Scuba Cat?

What can I say, some pictures are just darned funny. Especially considering that were I to put Kiara in such an outfit, she would likely murder me in my sleep!

Update Three Years Later:  The photo above has about 30,000 views per year from around the Internet.  For the record, I did not take this picture.  I don't know who did, but it was an ad in the "USA Weekend" section of the newspaper the weekend before I scanned and posted it.  If anyone knows its source, please let me know!

HP5
One day (ok, technically 1.5 days) and nearly 900 pages later, I have read the fifth Harry Potter book...

It's much darker in tone than any of the previous books, and I daresay that it's not quite appropriate for kids my nephews' ages (3 and 6). I wonder how that will affect some parents who, like my sister and her husband, got them all recently for their kids after the movies and expect them all to be fairly light chidrens stories.

I did find Harry's teen angst pretty realistic though. And once more we get a little more insight into how Harry is who he is in relation to Voldemort and his past.

My Own Sandwich
Today I had "The Jason" as I like to call it made into the special at the downtown Palmer's...

I'd like to thank my friends, Palmer, and Erica the sandwich girl. Special thanks to Rick Schaefer for introducing me to Palmer's two years ago...

See the attached photo for more info - and ask for The Jason the next time you crave a delicious lunch treat!

My First Internet Movie Scoop
Hilarious that even though I don't work in any capacity of the movie industry (beyond being a fan of course), I have now managed to land a scoop of my very own on Ain't It Cool News.

Since the tradition on AICN is to choose a pseudonym, I went with Mr Tuesday as I thought I recalled Tuesday being the day Garfield hated. But that was Monday, so duh to me. Oh well.

Wheel in the Sky Keeps on Turnin'
Just got back from the Styx / REO Speedwagon / Journey concert with Lori. Very fun, very loud - here's to future nostalgia!
